Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire – Into the Wild
Your safari begins with a scenic drive from Arusha through the picturesque countryside dotted with bustling villages and small farms. Soon you’ll arrive at Tarangire National Park, a lesser-known gem that boasts towering baobab trees, swampy landscapes and an incredible diversity of wildlife. Look out for tree-climbing pythons, massive elephant herds and nearly 500 species of birds. After an afternoon game drive, you’ll relax in the comfort of Tarangire Sopa Lodge, surrounded by nature’s raw beauty.

Day 2: Full Day Exploration of Tarangire
After a hearty breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in Tarangire, a sanctuary teeming with life. You’ll explore the park’s diverse ecosystem—from grassy savannahs and river valleys to acacia forests and swamps. Along the way, expect close encounters with giraffes, wildebeest, buffalo and possibly even the elusive leopard. Spot dwarf mongooses making their homes in old termite mounds and marvel at the birdlife soaring overhead. A picnic lunch allows you to dine al fresco in the wild.

Day 3: Journey to Serengeti via Ngorongoro
Today you journey northwest toward the crown jewel of African safaris—Serengeti National Park. En route, pass through the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, dotted with Maasai villages and endless farmland. As you enter Serengeti’s vast golden plains, wildlife begins to appear long before the official park gates. Arrive at your lodge by evening and relax as you watch the sun set over the endless savannah.

Day 4: Full Day in the Serengeti
Today is a full safari day in the world-famous Serengeti. Known for its dramatic landscapes and immense biodiversity, the Serengeti is home to the Big Five and the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration. With your guide, venture across rolling plains, rocky kopjes and acacia-dotted terrain in search of lions, cheetahs, zebras, elephants and more. Depending on the season, you may witness massive herds migrating or thrilling predator-prey interactions.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro – History & Heritage
After breakfast, continue your game drive across the Serengeti en route to Ngorongoro Crater. Along the way, you may visit Olduvai Gorge, often referred to as the “Cradle of Mankind,” where early human fossils were discovered. Another enriching optional stop includes a visit to a Maasai village, where you’ll experience traditional dances and learn about nomadic life. Arrive at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge, perched dramatically on the crater rim, in time for dinner.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Natural Wonder
Today, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most spectacular wildlife destinations on Earth. This giant volcanic caldera is home to over 25,000 animals including lions, black rhinos, elephants and hippos. You’ll traverse forests, lakes and open plains—all within the crater walls. A picnic lunch by a hippo-filled lake offers the perfect midday break. Return to the lodge in the evening to enjoy your last safari dinner under starlit skies.

Day 7: Return to Arusha – Farewell to the Wild
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Arusha through the Maasai steppe, taking in scenic views and perhaps making a few final stops for souvenirs or photos. Depending on your flight time, we’ll either drop you at your hotel or directly at Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
