Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Transfer to Mount Kenya

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a Silverbird Travel representative who will provide a detailed safari briefing. From Nairobi, you’ll journey north through the scenic central highlands to the luxurious Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club. Nestled on the foothills of Mount Kenya, this historic property offers an unmatched blend of colonial elegance, contemporary comfort and natural beauty. Spend your afternoon at leisure, enjoying the hotel’s serene gardens and facilities before settling in for dinner and overnight.

Day 02: Leisure Day at Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club

Today is yours to fully relax and immerse yourself in the serenity of the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club. Once a retreat for Hollywood star William Holden and other notable members like Winston Churchill and Bing Crosby, the Club offers breathtaking views of Mount Kenya and a wealth of optional activities, including nature walks, horseback riding or a visit to the nearby animal orphanage. Enjoy fine dining, tranquil surroundings and attentive service throughout the day.

Day 03: Mount Kenya – Flight to Maasai Mara via Nairobi

After breakfast, depart by road to Nairobi, where you’ll enjoy a delightful lunch at the renowned Haandi Restaurant, known for its North Indian cuisine. Following lunch, you’ll be transferred to Wilson Airport for a scheduled flight to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. On arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to the luxurious Fairmont Mara Safari Club, enjoying a game drive en route. This evening, experience the magic of the African wilderness with a candlelit dinner under the stars.

Day 04: Masai Mara – Morning & Afternoon Game Drives

Rise early for a thrilling game drive across the rolling plains of the Maasai Mara, home to an abundance of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards and rhinos. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation, then head out again after lunch for another exciting safari. The Mara is famous for its rich ecosystem and during certain months, the great wildebeest migration. Capture unforgettable moments and soak in the raw beauty of Africa.

Day 05: Maasai Mara – Full Day Safari Adventure

Spend a full day exploring the wonders of the Maasai Mara. Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives in different parts of the reserve, increasing your chances of spotting the Big Five and a host of other species such as giraffe, zebra, topi, eland and gazelles. Optional activities include visiting a Maasai village to learn about their enduring traditions or embarking on a once-in-a-lifetime hot air balloon safari (available at an additional cost). Return to the lodge in the evening for a relaxing dinner and overnight.

Day 06: Maasai Mara – Flight to Nairobi – Departure

After breakfast, bid farewell to the Mara as you transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you’ll have time for some last-minute shopping or sightseeing depending on your departure time. Later, you’ll be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international flight home. Alternatively, extend your journey with a beach holiday on the pristine Kenyan coast at an additional cost.
