Day 1: Entebbe/Kampala – Kidepo Valley National Park (via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary)

Your adventure begins early with a scenic drive or charter flight from Entebbe or Kampala to the remote north. Along the way, enjoy an optional stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a rhino trekking experience, where you’ll walk with rangers in search of these majestic giants on foot. Proceed through changing landscapes until you arrive at Kidepo Valley National Park, where the vast wilderness welcomes you.

Day 2: Game Drive & Karamojong Cultural Visit

Rise with the sun for a full-day game drive along the Eastern circuit of Kidepo. With luck, you’ll spot lions lounging on rock outcrops, herds of buffalo sweeping across the plains, zebras, giraffes, elephants and perhaps cheetahs. Over 470 bird species also call Kidepo home. In the evening, enrich your journey with an optional visit to the Karamojong community—known for their rich cultural traditions, vibrant dress, and pastoral way of life.

Day 3: Mount Morungole Trek & Visit to the IK People

Today is devoted to hiking the scenic Mount Morungole, the spiritual and cultural homeland of the IK people—one of Uganda’s smallest and most isolated ethnic groups. This trek offers breathtaking views and a rare opportunity to interact with the IK, learning about their ancient customs, family structures and resilience in the face of isolation.

Day 4: Return to Kampala/Entebbe
