Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve
Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Nairobi into the heart of the Great Rift Valley, offering panoramic views of Mount Longonot, Mount Margaret and Mount Suswa. Continue through the lush countryside toward the Masai Mara, Kenya’s most iconic game reserve. Settle into your lodge and later head out for an exciting evening game drive to catch your first glimpse of Africa’s Big Five.

Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara
Spend the entire day on thrilling game drives, exploring vast plains filled with wildebeests, zebras, elephants, lions and more. Opt for a hot-air balloon safari at dawn (extra cost) for a bird’s-eye view of the Mara or visit a local Masai village to learn about this fascinating culture.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru via Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, drive north to Lake Nakuru, with a stop for lunch at Lake Naivasha. Optional boat rides on the lake are available (extra cost), providing a peaceful way to observe hippos, fish eagles and giraffes. Arrive in Nakuru for a relaxed evening.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru & Day Trip to Lake Bogoria
Start with a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its flamingos and rhinos. Later, drive to the nearby Lake Bogoria, a stunning soda lake with hot springs and geysers. Enjoy a game drive en route back to Nakuru.

Day 5: Nakuru – Nairobi – Fly to Entebbe, Uganda
Depart early for Nairobi, where you’ll be dropped at JKIA to catch your flight to Entebbe, Uganda. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Entebbe – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Depart early, crossing the Equator and venturing southwest through rural Uganda and the Kigezi Highlands, known as the “Switzerland of Africa.” Arrive at Bwindi, one of the most biologically diverse areas in the world and home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorillas.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Today’s the day! After a pre-trek briefing, you’ll venture into the Bwindi jungle in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can be challenging but the hour spent in their presence is one of the most moving wildlife experiences on Earth.

Day 8: Bwindi – Kampala – Fly to Nairobi
Drive back toward Kampala, with a short city tour before your transfer to Entebbe Airport for your return flight to Nairobi. On arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for a final night in Kenya.

Day 9: Departure from Nairobi
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to catch your flight home—filled with unforgettable memories of Africa’s wildlife, landscapes and people.
