Day 1: Kampala – Lake Mburo National Park
Start your journey westward from Kampala, making a photogenic stop at the Equator, then continue through Masaka for lunch. Upon arrival at Lake Mburo National Park, check into your lodge and prepare for an evening game drive in this compact but wildlife-rich reserve. Look out for impalas, zebras, buffalo and eland as the sun sets over the acacia-dotted landscape.

Day 2: Lake Mburo – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, depart through the scenic Kigezi Highlands, often called the “Switzerland of Africa” for its terraced hills and winding roads. Arrive in Bwindi, where the cool forest air and thick canopies welcome you. Check into your lodge, unwind and prepare mentally for the unforgettable experience that awaits tomorrow.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing, then venture into the dense jungle with expert trackers. Gorilla trekking can last 5–8 hours, depending on the movements of the gorilla family, but the one hour spent in their presence will stay with you forever. In the afternoon, enjoy a serene guided walk along the Munyaga River trail, with its waterfalls, orchids, butterflies and ferns—perfect for nature lovers and photographers.

Day 4: Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi
Depart after breakfast for nearby Lake Bunyonyi, one of the most beautiful and serene spots in Uganda. Upon arrival, embark on a peaceful boat ride in a traditional dugout canoe, gliding past terraced hills, tiny islands and birdlife such as kingfishers and swallows. Take time to relax—swimming is safe and bilharzia-free or simply bask in the sun while enjoying the cool breeze off the lake.

Day 5: Lake Bunyonyi – Kampala / Entebbe Departure
